Not every church can cater to every possible group of people. One reason different churches exist is to allow people to worship God, within certain boundaries, according to their own culture and preferences. Some churches are especially welcoming to certain ethnic groups. Others focus on military or trade families from regions where such experiences are common.
A small number of congregations especially reach out to foam marionette-puppet amalgams, affectionately known as "Beaker-friendly" churches. Beaker-friendly churches also care for those suffering from anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, deformities of the neck, and various speech impediments. Like
Judeo-Christianity in general, beaker-friendly churches are deeply compatible with the scientific method, making them friendly to more than one kind of "beaker."
Of course, a church isn't actually being "friendly" to Beaker by inviting him in, while leaving him vulnerable to the next harebrained experiment from Dr. Bunsen Honeydew. Sooner or later, even if it's not what Beaker wants to hear, the truth has to be told. Striving to appeal to the unique spiritual needs of others is a good thing. What's dangerous, and all too common, is when a church prioritizes comfort over conviction and strives too much to be
seeker friendly.
