What does the Bible say about dieting to oneself?

Dieting to oneself is a wholly biblical concept. In fact, it is a beautiful way to show your love for others. No one wants to know your diet. They don't care if you're in the Zone or Vegan except for Cheetos or rejecting every molecule of radish.

Honestly. I don't care if for every breakfast you have half a grapefruit and a fifth of a can of Spam except for Fridays when you eat nothing but fries all day. I don't care if you're on the gerbil diet, which apparently consists of seeds, tap water, and empty toilet paper rolls. Please, keep your Count Dooku diet to yourself and eat your bantha steaks without droning on about the nutritional value of Tatooine-based draught animals.

Feel free to enjoy the South Beach Diet—or, even better, the Orlando diet which consists of funnel cakes and mouse-shaped ice cream bars. Just don't tell me how the Atkins diet restricts carbs but you can have all the apple pie you can eat on the Trace Adkins diet.

I promise. No one cares. I mean, sure, if you have a legitimate allergy, it's good to let your friends know peanuts will kill you. But don't continually bring up that you can only eat blue foods that rhyme with sasquatch under the full moon. I know it's hard, but think of dieting to oneself as a type of spiritual discipline. You know, like dying to oneself.

I was on the C8 diet—everything I'd see, I ate.
